CeramicNature produces caves mixcolour in 5 different sizes.

The mixcolour caves are handmade in our own workshop in the Netherlands. All CeramicNature caves are made of ceramic, which is safe for humans, animals, and the environment. The mixcolor caves are available in 5 different sizes and in the mixcolor.

Stacking plates

For stacking the caves, we recommend using stacking plates. These are available in 3 sizes and in the colors terracotta red, brown, and mixcolor. The stacking plates can be used with the caves, xsmall, small, and medium.

• Small stacking plate: 14.5 x 12x5cm – 2 caves below and 1 cave on top
• Medium stacking plate: 22 x 12.5cm – 3 caves below and 2 caves on top
• Large stacking plate: 32 x 12.5cm – 4 caves below and 3 on top

Aquarium

The mixcolor caves are used in the breeding of various L-numbers (armored catfish), and are ideal hiding places for other catfish, crayfish, shrimp, loaches, etc. Armored catfish (L-numbers) use caves to lay their eggs, which are often guarded by the male until they hatch.

For breeding L-numbers, we recommend using multiple shapes and sizes so that the L-numbers can choose the one they prefer. In addition to the mixcolor caves, we also have rectangular caves, D-shaped caves, triangular caves, XXL caves, and catfish caves. L-numbers will choose a cave that is not much larger than themselves, so keep this in mind when purchasing. Try placing the caves in different flow directions, which the fish will appreciate. If you’re not breeding fish, caves are also great hiding places for, among others, loaches, large crayfish, large shrimp, catfish, etc.

L-numbers

• The xsmall mixcolor cave is suitable for small L-numbers up to 13cm, such as the Bristlenose Ancistrus, L002, L015, L046, L104, L129, L340, L400, L411, etc.
• The small mixcolor cave is suitable for L-numbers up to 16 cm, such as the L046, L102, L129, L136, L144, L181, L199, L201, L236, L260, L262, and L397.
• The medium mixcolor cave is suitable for breeding L-numbers up to 21 cm, such as the L066, L070, L144, L201, L204, and L333.
• The large mixcolor cave is suitable for larger L-numbers up to 26 cm, such as the L070 and L264.
• The Xlarge mixcolor cave is suitable for the largest L-numbers up to 30cm, such as the L075, L081, L128, and L200.

Terrarium

The caves mixcolour can also be used as hiding places for reptiles and amphibians such as frogs and geckos. Because the mixcolor caves are made of ceramic, they can also be perfectly used as moist caves.

Our ceramic is 100% safe for humans, animals, and the environment. The mixcolor caves have a long lifespan and are handmade from ceramic. Because the color is baked into the clay, the color will never fade. This makes the caves easy to clean as well. Cleaning can easily be done with a soft sponge and warm water.
