The turtle caves are an ideal hiding place for cichlids, cherry barbs, corydoras species, catfish, and other fish species. They are handmade in the Netherlands in 4 different sizes. The structure of the turtle caves is replicated by Ceramic Nature from trees in nature. Because each turtle cave is handmade, each item is unique.
Aquarium
The turtle caves are perfect for most fish species. Our ceramic decorations are a good option to reduce aggression in fish and reptiles. Due to their lifelike appearance, you can easily combine them with real wood and our Ceramic Nature backgrounds. Besides having a beautiful appearance, the turtle caves can be used as hiding places for loaches, catfish, crayfish, cichlids, and other fish species. The turtles resemble real turtles but are made of ceramic.
Furthermore, you can also cover them with various types of plants and mosses such as java moss or anubias. Use aquarium glue or fishing line to attach the plant to the ceramic for the first few weeks. After this, the plant will grow attached to the turtle caves. The ceramic decorations will also act as a biological filter in the aquarium as the structure of the ceramic is porous. Numerous bacteria nest in the micro-cavities and through biological breakdown remove harmful substances from the aquarium water. All in all, a great product!
Terrarium
The turtle caves are widely used as hiding places for reptiles and amphibians such as frogs, geckos, and other species. Because they are made of ceramic, you can also use them perfectly as a moist cave or warm cave. The ceramic is porous and therefore retains heat or moisture well.

Our ceramics are 100% safe for humans, animals, and the environment. They have a long lifespan and are handmade from ceramic. Because the color is baked into the clay, the color will never fade. This also makes them easy to clean. Cleaning can easily be done with a soft sponge and warm water. The decoration is made of ceramic, a well-known environmentally friendly material.
