The iglu stone is an ideal hiding place for cichlids, shrimp, cherry barbs, corydoras species, catfish, and other fish species. They are available in 3 different sizes and have a white-gray color. They feature various deformations and a stony structure, with a smooth interior but with bumps on the outside for a natural effect. Because we make everything by hand, each iglu stone is unique. Each stone has multiple openings where fish can enter.

Aquarium

The iglus are perfect for most fish species. Our ceramic decorations are a good option to reduce aggression in fish and reptiles. Due to their lifelike appearance, you can easily combine them with real wood and our CeramicNature backgrounds. Besides having a beautiful appearance, the iglu stone can be used as a hiding place for loaches, catfish, crayfish, cichlids, and other fish species.

Furthermore, you can also cover them with various types of plants and mosses such as java moss or anubias. Use aquarium glue or fishing line to attach the plant to the ceramic for the first few weeks. After this, the plant will grow attached to the ornament. The ceramic decorations will also act as a biological filter in the aquarium as the structure of the ceramic is porous. Numerous bacteria nest in the micro-cavities and through biological breakdown remove harmful substances from the aquarium water. All in all, a great product!

Terrarium

The iglus stone are widely used as hiding places for reptiles and amphibians such as frogs, geckos, and other species. Because they are made of ceramic, you can also use them perfectly as a moist cave or warm cave. The ceramic is porous and therefore retains heat or moisture well.
