these are the ideal hiding place for the aquarium and terrarium. They are handcrafted in the Netherlands and are available in 5 different sizes. The structure of the horse head is replicated by CeramicNature from trees found in nature. Because we handcraft everything, each horse head is unique. The interior is smooth, while the exterior of the horse head has a tree trunk structure with multiple knobs and holes.

Aquarium

The horse heads fit in any aquarium and can be perfectly combined with real wood. In addition to their beautiful appearance, they can be used as hiding spots for loaches, catfish, crayfish, corydoras, and other fish species. We always recommend creating enough hiding places in the aquarium so that the animals feel comfortable.

Furthermore, you can cover the products with various types of plants and mosses such as java moss or anubias. Use aquarium glue or fishing line to secure the plant to the logs for the first few weeks. After this period, the plant will securely grow onto the ornament. In the aquarium, horse heads also serve as a biological filter since the structure of the ceramic is porous. Micro-hollows host numerous bacteria that, through biological breakdown, remove harmful substances from the aquarium water. All in all, a fantastic product!
