CeramicNature handcrafts the logs with boughs in 3 different sizes.

• Log Small with 1 bough: 6 x 6 x 14cm
• Log Medium with 2 boughs: 7 x 7 x 18cm
• Log Large with 3 boughs: 8 x 8 x 24cm

Our log with boughs is handcrafted. Just like all other ceramic decorations, we make everything in the Netherlands. Because they are all handmade, each log with bough will have a slightly different structure. However, the sizes will as much as possible be consistent.

The “boughs” refer to the branches we create on the log with boughs. Thus, the log with 1 bough has 1 branch, and the log with 3 boughs has 3 branches. The interior is smooth, while the exterior of the logs has a tree trunk structure with multiple knobs and holes.

Thanks to the design of the logs, your pet feels safe while you can still observe them.

Aquarium

The ceramic decorations are perfect for any aquarium. Due to their lifelike appearance, they can easily be combined with real wood and our CeramicNature backgrounds. Besides having a beautiful appearance, the logs with boughs can be used as hiding places for loaches, catfish, crayfish, and other fish species.

Furthermore, you can also cover them with various types of plants and mosses such as java moss or anubias. Use aquarium glue or fishing line to secure the plant to the logs for the first few weeks. After this period, the plant will securely grow onto the ornament. The log with boughs will also function as a biological filter in the aquarium since the structure of the ceramic is porous. Micro-cavities host numerous bacteria that, through biological breakdown, remove harmful substances from the aquarium water. All in all, a fantastic product!

The logs with boughs are widely used as hiding places for reptiles and amphibians such as frogs, geckos, bearded dragons, snakes, etc. Because they are made of ceramic, they can also be perfectly used as moist or warm caves. The ceramic is porous and retains heat or moisture well.
