The CeramicNature slate corners are handmade in the Netherlands. All slate hotels are made of Spanish slate. This slate is thoroughly cleaned after production, making it safe for use in aquariums and terrariums. The holes in the round street are open at the front and closed at the back.
Aquarium
The slate corners right are widely used in the breeding of various L-numbers up to 15cm such as L046, L134, L144, and L262. The holes in the hotel are closed at the back, making the hotel perfect for breeding L-numbers. Because there are multiple holes present, fish can choose which one they prefer.
For the breeding of L-numbers, we recommend using multiple shapes and sizes so that the L-numbers themselves can choose which one they prefer. In addition to the slate corners right, we also have rectangular breeding caves, D-shaped breeding caves, triangle breeding caves, XXL breeding caves, catfish caves, and mix-color caves. L-numbers will choose a cave that is not much larger than themselves, so keep this in mind when purchasing.
Additionally, the slate hotels are also a perfect hiding place for, among others, botias, small catfish, crayfish, shrimp, and small cichlids.
You can also cover the hotels with mosses or plants. The plants grow very well on the slate as there are various minerals present in the slate. These minerals have a positive effect on mostly red plants and are safe for tropical fish, shrimp, or other aquarium inhabitants. The slate streets last a long time and are easy to clean. All hotels are handmade so the dimensions may vary slightly.
Terrarium
The slate corners can also be used as a hiding place for smaller reptiles and amphibians such as frogs and small geckos. The slate is easy to clean.
Sustainable Slate
Our slate is 100% safe for humans, animals, and the environment. The slate streets have a long lifespan and are handmade from slate. Cleaning is easy with a soft sponge and warm water.
TIP: Rinse the slate first and then, while rinsing, run your hand over the slate to wash off all the last loose pieces of slate.
